Living Area
The heart of the villa is a bright, open-concept living and dining space featuring high vaulted ceilings, coral stone walls, air-conditioning, and elegant neutral flooring. Large arched French doors fill the room with natural light and open onto a private balcony, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. The space is tastefully furnished with a spacious white sectional sofa accented by tropical-print cushions, dining for six guests, and is complemented by modern décor and lush greenery for a calm, sophisticated atmosphere.

The modern kitchen is sleek and fully equipped, with stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, and minimalist cabinetry in soft tones. A breakfast bar with three woven stools offers a casual spot for coffee or conversation, while the mirrored backsplash and accent lighting add a touch of luxury.

Getting around

Royal Villa 17 is ideally positioned for exploring Barbados’ beautiful West Coast.

A complimentary Royal Westmoreland shuttle operates within the resort and connects guests with the Beach Club at Mullins Beach, making beach days easy without having to drive.

For exploring beyond the resort, we recommend hiring a car for maximum flexibility. Holetown, Mullins, Speightstown and many of the West Coast’s best beaches, restaurants and attractions are just a short drive away.

Taxis are readily available, and our concierge team can assist with airport transfers, car hire, taxis and private drivers during your stay.

There is parking available at the villa for guests with a rental car.

Neighbourhood

Royal Villa 17 is set within Royal Westmoreland, one of Barbados’ most prestigious gated communities, surrounded by beautifully landscaped tropical gardens on the island’s sought-after West Coast.

Within the resort, guests can enjoy a relaxed, secure environment with access through Social Membership to The Sanctuary pool and gym, tennis, pickleball and padel courts, as well as the Clubhouse, Rum Shak and other social areas. • Please respect neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, particularly during the evening
• Children must be supervised around pools and throughout the resort

• Beach towels are provided for use at the pool and beach
• Air conditioning should be switched off when rooms are not in use and when doors or windows are open
• Guests must follow Royal Westmoreland resort and Beach Club rules while using communal facilities
• Royal Westmoreland houseguest cards should be carried when using resort facilities
• Any court bookings, activities or services carrying additional charges are the responsibility of the guest

We (Zee, Yada & Reggie) had a wonderful stay at Villa 17, Royal Westmoreland and enjoyed our time. The villa is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, very well maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Royal Westmoreland itself is a lovely, peaceful and secure environment, and the location in St. James was ideal for exploring Barbados while still having a tranquil place to return to. Communication with the host/management was excellent—responsive, helpful and accommodating whenever we needed assistance. We particularly appreciated how promptly they attended to any questions or issues during our stay. Overall, Villa 17 was a fantastic base for our Barbados and Crop Over experience. We left with great memories and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended! 🇧🇧🌴
